Our Mission…

When we concieved the idea of GimpFM in mid-2005 our aim was to have fun, and this aim still stands today.

The name GimpFM, gimpfm, Gimp FM, gimp fm and any other varients are copyrighted names as well as the tag-line/slogan 'Be part of the Radio Revolution'; GimpFM is part of GimpEntertainment. The term 'we' used throughout this page refers to GimpFM as a whole.

All unique and original content used upon the Website, Audio Stream, Audio Podcasts, downloads and any other medium we use are copyrighted to GimpFM, any unauthorised use may result in a takedown notice being issued or even in extreame cases, prosecution. Any third party media used on the Webstie, audio streams, audio podcasts, downloads and any other medium are still copyrighted the original owners of the works, we have given accredidation where possible and in the case of the audio stream we have attained the required licenses. If there are any disputes please refer to the takedown request section.

Adult Content

This site contains adult content, it contains adult topics and explicit language; some topics/language mentioned in the audio podcasts/streams, blog posts and website may offend some people.

This site contains NO nudity.

This site is aimed at the age rages 16-30 but we understand that some areas the age limit to view this material could be 18+ and 21+, please abide by your local laws.

Downloads

All media up for download has been scanned with Avast Anti-Virus, Clam AV and have to have a negative result prior to uploading the file but we cannot guarantee 100% that when the files reach your (the client) computer that the files are still not infected. If you download a file from our site and it is flagged as a virus then please notify us ASAP and we will investigate further.

Please check your data usage before downloading/streaming from our site as the audio files and streams are large and can eat away your data usage quickly and we shall not be liable for any charges occurred from heavily using our site.

All downloads remain copyright of GimpFM, prior permission is needed to reuse any media from our website unless otherwise stated.

Audio Podcasts

All audio podcasts that are downloadable have the main body of music removed, this is to comply with the copyright laws of our county (United Kingdon). The podcasts are encoded with the LAME MP3 codec and are all of varying quality and length. There is a rare occasion where a podcast is left in its raw WAV form. MP3 and WAV are proprietary technologies and so the use of them maybe restricted in your country/state.

Images & Logos

The image and logos available in the 'Archives' are freely availble for repoduction as long as the original source is mentioned (www.gimpfm.co.uk). If it is being used electronically on the internet, please hotlink to the image instead of downloading your own copy, this means we can keep track of where the image is being used and that we can update it accordingly.

Website Beta Tests

Some features on the website are classed as a beta feature and so are under a mass-test. As like all tests, the feature maybe removed or changed without any prior notice. The features are not knowingly designed to be hardful but any data loss, strange behaviour and malfunctions from use of the beta features is not the fault of GimpFM or the designers/developers of the feature.

End users of the beta tests do so at their own risk.

Revenue

We currently have very little income from all media (Website, Podcasts, streams and other downloads) and so all the costs and overheads are covered by ourselves, we will be including a PayPal Donate button on the site eventually.

Third Party Media…

On rare occasions some third party media has been used. We have tried to accredit all third parties where applicable. If your media is being used you can request that is be removed via a takedown request.

We cannot gurantee the quality and validity of any third party media used, this includes images, music, video and anything else that is not requested from within the GimpFM/GimpEntertainment family.

All third party media remains the property of the original author and they hold the copyright to the media.

Takedown Requests & Complaints…

We investigate all requests fully but when we receive a request, we will remove the content first and then investigate, if we find the request is incorrect, invalid or does not concern GimpFM, we will then reinstate the conent and resopnd to the take down request.

Complains will be dealt with per the complaint and if we feel that it is a valid complaint, i.e. SPAM would be valid but "Your site sucks" would not.

Privacy…

Our web server (which isn't under our exclusive control) collects logging data of all visitors, this data includes IP address, pages requested and refering URL; our site also uses technologies that detects what web browser is being used too. this information is stored for a maximum of 30 days. The information is not sold or distributed and remains on the server in its unaltered log form. We may use the logs to target content onto more freqently visited pages only.

Adverts

Our adverts are provided by Google AdSense, we have no control over the adverts displayed and the method of displaying them.

Tracking Cookies

We do not knowingly use tracking cookies.

Online Contact form

Our online contact form collects the end users IP address for security reasons, this IP cannot be used to directly identify you but is collected for reasons against abuse. If an IP is noted to be abusing the online form; the Owner of the IP will be contacted.
